Hello!
When my husband and I first moved to Texas, he had a really hard time finding a job. He took a temp. job with a test grading facility. His job was to grade essays written by high school students. He started noticing that the spelling of some of the kids was often very funny. He started collecting the words. Below you will see some part of the list. He put the correct word in parenthesis. We had a good laugh over some of them! I hope you enjoy!

Seriously, English is notoriously difficult to spell, and since rote learning (the only way to learn how to spell words that are not phonetic) is taboo, these kids were doing the best they could with what they had to work with. If some teacher gave them spelling words to write 5 times each, the parents would be at the school in a heartbeat over the inordinate amount of homework.
I am wishing a happy holiday on your comments
