twilight-the movie

I saw this last night with my 15 year old daughter. I loved it! My daughter was disappointed that it was different from the book, but still liked it.

It starts off with Bella(Kristen Stewart) moving in with her father in Washinton(state). She meets Edward(Rob Patterson), who immediately acts strange towards her and rather rude. But then a car starts skidding towards Bella and Edward saves her. He seems to show up as her knight in a few scenes. Bella is the one Edward has been waiting for.

Now as usual..I would go into all the details and I am sure you have seen the trailers...but I really liked the movie...it left me wanting more.

I have not read any of the books....and I am thinking that the Indian boy is a werewolf! I kept getting that impression...then towards the end of the movie...Edward had walked away from Bella for a minute and her Indian friend- Edward comes back and makes a comment about the Wolves....hmmm can I be right...that Tribe has werewolves in it???? I guess I will find out...I asked my daughter, but she hasn't read the other book yet!

hmmmmm - werewolves in the story are always a plus - even if it's a hint of some fur ...

I burned out on vampires years ago. Maybe the year I did all my college reports and papers for all my classes on vampires, just to amuse myself. Got some interesting comments in my scrapbook.
If you want spoilers, then yes, the Indian tribe has werewolves in it. Not the typical, howl at the moon ones, but strong men who can change on command. Personally I prefer Jacob over Edward in future books.

Not that interested in werewolves. Even with the modern-day movie treatments of them.

You should read the books! lol my teenage son and i read them before going to the premiere of the movie... i was a little dissapointed with the movie but typically the book is better... i loved the movie tho and im ready for the next one!! and you right about Jacob. ;)
I agree with Tina- read the books! They're great. I bought them for myself to read before my daughter was into the books. She only recently read them, within the last 6 weeks or so. Neither of us have started the 4th book yet.

Currently my 11 yr old son and my 10 yr old daughter are reading the first book, which is amazing lol I told them they can't see the movie till they read the book. lol mean huh?

Yes, I read all four books before the movie came out. I think Twilight was great, but I hope they put more special effects toward the whole "sparkle" effect. I read the two main characters are signed up for the second movie, but I hope they can bring back the boy that plays Jacob, he was cute and yes I am a Jacob fan too. Edward seems like all style no substance.

I have read the books and I did watch the movie. My sentiment is if you read the books and liked the books you will not completely like the movie. I think it could have been better in so many ways. The books are better. I hope they do better in the next movie because my grade on this one is a C and just barely.

Also if you read the books they are not actually werewolves but they are shapeshifters. Protectors from previous generations of the tribe to ward off the vampires. They just take the shape of wolves.

Jenine, Brit hasn't put them down! she even brought it into the theater with her to point out the lines to me!
I'm working on the first book still, but I thought the same thing about the Jacob boy. When he was telling Bella about the tribe and vampires. I thought he could be a werewolf or more of I thought it would be cool if he was. I haven't seen the movie yet. I think I will wait till I can rent it or something. the movie just doesn't look that great. I am loving the book though!

I definety thought he was, and then at the end with Edward's statement...it sealed it for me!

My 17 yr old daughter has read all the books and saw the movie last Sunday afternoon. She was disappointed also because it was different from the book.

My soon to be 13 year-old loved it but she didn't read the book. Now the book series was on her Christmas list so hopefully she will be very happy Christmas morning! I don't know how she would have felt about the movie if she had read the book first though.

I just saw it yesterday and loved it! Now I want to read the book even though I hear it's very different.
