My hands are cramped...

My hands ares so cramped right now.  Even jotting just a note in each card, takes a toll on you. My writing is getting sloppy.  I want to get finished tonight, but not sure if I can?  I will give myself a break and then go back.

I am about a little half way there.  FYI:  Because of my financial situation...you guys are getting some older stamps with a couple extra to make up for a 42 cent stamp.  So most of you will get an envelope with 2 or 3 stamps on them.  I have so many of them.  I used to do a monthly newsletter and sent it out across the country, that everyone really enjoyed, but had to stopped when things got worse for me.  So I have a lot of stamps left over.  If I ever get it up and going again...I will send you one.

I wish I could type my message on the cards.  It's much easier on the hands.  Well...  Gotta try to get something to eat too.

Don't stress over it! I mailed yours yesterday! Do a small amount at a time. Pace yourself, its not a race! Is that enough advice?

It may be a little more trouble, but if it's easier on your hands you could print the message on paper and paste the message to the inside of the card. Just a thought. :-)

or instead of pasting the paper to the card, just slip it inside the card. Another think that some people do is print the message out on see-through paper and put it inside the card like an extra little personal message from you. See-through paper can be the onion skin paper or tracing paper. It's usually sold in tearout sheet packs. It's relatively inexpensive and if it's easier for you, then that would be good. Right? :-) Hope you feel better.

Speaking of stamps. Hubby just bought a pack because I thought we did not have any. Than I found another full unused pack I had bought when prices were going to jump. They are teh forever liberty bell ones. So, in a sense it is a blessing because I can send Christmas cards out this year.

That was how the Family Newsletter were born that is included with a lot of cards.
Since postage is so high now the number of cards sent and received has dropped dramatically. Remember the old card rate for unsealed cards? Pity it has gone away!

Oh Teresa, please don't stress out over Christmas cards.....just do a few at a time, and you'll get it all done!!!!! I've gotten about 15 or 20 done and out and just do what I can each day.....that's why I start so early on them! You need to take a break as well........take some deep breaths and go do something else for awhile!!!

dont stress over Christmas Cards. If you have nationwide calling they would probably rather hear your voice. You could say instead of sending cards, you wanted to personally wish them a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday.

To be honest...having something tangible is important to me. Because some of my friends and loved ones are no longer here and I can still look at their cards and remember the memories.

Handwriting can be hard. I find I do less of it, as typing is an option.

Definitely take a break! I had a bad case of tendonitis in my wrist and befor eit was diagnosed kept pushing myself to get bridal shower invites written out. I paid for it. My hand hurt for days. This was a couple months before the tendonitis was diagnosed. I wish I woulda taken a break!

Maybe you can just do a few each night. Don't stress over it. Just do a little here and there and it will all get done.

I can't write very well anymore either...after carpal tunnel surgery in each hand, it hurts me to bad to write at all usually.

semi-apology for a "generic" reply ~ however, I opened my gather emails to find over 2000 new emails of friends postings over the past five days with only one hour to reply ~ therefore, am doing the proverbial driveby and giving a ten rating of course ~ and, on a personal note, I only need 174 points to cash out ~ so hopefully this will be a win situation for you AND me ~ I do appreciate all of my gather friends and wish I had more time to comment, but until then and for the time being……..a DB 10 pinky to ya is my offer for the day ~ huge smiles ~j
