Janna, if there was a prayer of a chance, I'd do it, somehow. I know books and I know customer service, and school is almost over. I even know people in the area, since my in-laws have a home thereabouts and it borders the System I work for -- all signs point to a workable relationship...
What I don't have is an idea how I'd go about the rescue mission.
Here's hoping Richard and I can have a discussion on what's needed; right now, it sounds like a wonderful adventure, with possibilities galore. There happens to be a thriving music community down that way, as it happens...
Richard - wow - I think I love you. This is amazing! Far too many independent and used/rare bookstores have had to close their doors over the past few years (notably the past seven - ahem).

Hello Dannielle - I'm sorry you are just hearing about this. A lot of people are interested. Think what you'd be giving up - and what you can bring to the plate. A careful rereading of that article will show you that the store will break even - how will you make money? That's what you need to know. Hoping you make all the right decisions! Dear Richard - what a fabulous store as well as wonderful opportunity for the right person - I think it would be for someone who has been thinking about such a venture for a long time and who doesn't depend on a month to month profit but possibly has other things going on - it sounds great but as you say - one has to realize that most bookstores break even - it's not a money making venture but the rewards of owning a business and being creative are what makes one rich in spirit - I hope that the right person comes along soon - I'm sorry I have missed this post and this fine exceptional video - it's amazing how many books you have - of course, I love bookstores - I didn't see the ubiquitous bookstore cat! Seriously, I hope someone comes along and keeps it going as a bookstore. Perhaps the newspaper story will help.
