Here I Am Again

Some of you may have noticed my absence for about a week. No I did not leave Gather (or the other site). Hubby and I got into a little discussion about the phone bill. I wanted ro pay it and he didn't want me to. I explained they would cut it off if it wasn't paid and he said I didn't know what I was talking about. Well, suprisingly they cut it off. I guess there are occasions where I actually know what I am talking about. So that is why I have not been reading what you have written etc. I am sorry.

Hopefully next month if things work out I will get high speed. We need to discuss it, but we will be in better financial shape starting next month. We shall see.

I have missed you guys (and gals). I hope everyone had a great and safe holiday weekend.

Hoozah. I have medium speed and it costs me $17.00 a month. $10.00 cheaper than high speed and it works really well plus it handles all videos and streaming videos really well.

The cable company has a package deal. It is medium high speed internet, cable TV (with the channels I like Turner Classics, Fox Movie and the Encore Channels, movies with no commercials, YAY!) plus the whole phone package with call waiting, caller ID etc. for about $50.00 more than we are paying for local phone (no long distance) and dial up internet now. So that sounds like a good deal to me.

I use basic cable for tv - $20
My DSL is $28
Phone runs consistently at $50 (at least that's my budget)
Pretty close to a hundred total.
The local cable station has a 99 dollar offer going right now. It's good for 90 days. Then what?
I won't switch for two reasons: (1) I'm happy with what I have, and (2) I won't participate in creating another conglomerate/big business monster.
