Usted Es (mi ángel terrenal)
©Robert C Burnham
You are my Heaven on earth.
You are the stars in my sky
You are the water that soothes my thirst
Given by God though I don't know why.
No, I'm not deserving
I've lived my life all wrong
There are many more days I've been weak
Than there are days I've been strong
Although I've known some blessings
I am not a wealthy man
But now you are my treasure
And for you I'll be the best I can
You are my rainbow of promise
You are all that I need
You are the light from all my darkness
A gift from God, given free
But in my own heart I know
That I must apply a cost
To live honest, to live right
You are my salvation from the lost
And now I know you're my purpose
The reason that I breathe
You are my earthly angel
Whom I will never leave.
You are my Heaven on earth
You are the stars in my sky
You are the water that soothes my thirst
Given by God and now I know why.

We angels, thank you, wink.
Seriously, Robert, this is great.
It tis a pity, that I'm happy with my hubby.
Bless, you, dear.
Vous etes mon angel, Robert. Merci bien, monsieur.
Of course, Madame Gallant WAS married to the Chief of Police so she only remained a fantasy. I am hoping the object of this poem proves more.
"a true mademoiselle and a beautiful trearure for all temps, like the best young french women and my models."
