I am about to drive my self crazy..

I can NOT decide what colors I want to use.. I know I want the girls to wear black dresses with a colored sash around the waist.. I do know I would like their sash to be a dark hot pink color.. BUT what would the guys wear then.. I dont want them to wear pink cause it bugs me when guys wear pink..

I like orange and blue but how would I fit pink in with either one of them colors..

I thought about each girl wearing a colored sash and the guy they walk with have a shirt same color as sash but thats too much color and I dont want it to be a rainbow bright wedding..

They guys will probably wear dark blue jean wranglers since they are all pretty much wrangler guys :)

PLEASE share and tips and advice.. AND Im trying to figure out an easy way to do the invites that have colors matching and I cant begin that until I know what dang colors I want.. ERRRHH please help me someone.. I knwo you al got ideas somewhere :)

i'm a registered wedding planner, and to be honest with you, you don't really have to have the groomsmen match...you can put them in all black tuxes, and then just have the flower on their lapel match the bridesmaids flowers. Or you could just have them wear a pink swatch in their front jacket pocket.

If the me will be wearing Wranglers, what is wrong with a plain white shirt and let the girls have the color. The men can have a flower with whatever color you choose. You could use the hot pink then.

This is the first I've heard about your wedding. Congratulations! In choosing my colors, the bridesmaids were a big factor. They were a fair-skinned blonde and a dark-skinned with black hair. One was a size 0 and the other a size 24. Both looked terrific in royal blue, so that was it.

Well, I can certainly see why you are having issues with the guys wearing pink. I'm trying to think of which colors that would go with hot pink. Maybe beige? brown??? I can see how a blue would work too, you just have to find the right one. Good luck with it Tiffany, I bet it's going to be fun:)
Maybe have the guys just in black, with a dark pink flower for a boutineer.

I really did not have trouble picking colors for my wedding. I got married on December 21st so it was red and green.

I think you should just pick colors you like that compliment each other and don't worry about matching the bridesmaids and the groomsmen.
Great ideas are out there, if you are willing maybe change to burgandy? Just a thought! :)

I was thinking along the same lines as Heather, have the guys wear black and tuck in colored flowers. They can do most flowers in whatever color you are looking for.

so maybe black dresses with dark hot pink sashes.. Men can wear black wranglers with a white shirt and a hot pink boutenier... Too much black?? maybe black slacks rather than wranglers?? hmm??

My colors were red and white. Hubby had a red sash as did the man that stood up with him and the man that gave me away. My bridesmaid wore a red dress and carried white flowers, I had the off white dress and carried red flowers. There are so many ideas for wedding attair and colors. Best of luck in your endevors.

My husband wears pink all the time. He loves his pink shirt!

if you don't want the guys to wear pink, blue would work nicely.
I don't think that's too much black at all, Tiffany. It'll look nice!

You could always go with the hot pink for the girls, and the guys can wear black wranglers, with a white shirt, and perhaps a black blazer with a corsage of your flower choice with an accent of neon blue in the ribbon

I looked at theknot.com for black dresses and NONE had pink sashes.. so I think it will be perfect :)

what about this..

what about if girls wear black dresses with pink sashes and the bouquet have multiple colors like Pink definitly, and maybe some orange and blue colored flowers.. could guys get a color off that? or should they match more what the girl is wearing rather than carrying :)

Hi Tiffany, I really do not know how to advise you on this one. My first wedding was the original brides wedding gown, the next I got married in Maroon and so did my groom. Short dress and him a leisure suit. No bridesmaid dresses or groomsmen. Short and simple.

if you are worried about the black shirts matching, just have them wear a white shirt....you can pick up the color in the flowers...most flowers can be dyed, carnations and roses especially...

I like the idea of hot pink sashes (could be because pink is my favorite color), but as people above states the guys could just wear flowers to match the sashes. Or you could allow the girls to all pick a different shade of pink for their sash and give the guys white flowers or whatever. I hope you can decide, wedding planning has to be hard.

Oh my Tiffany!!! I knew this would happen to you sooner or later! You have been so calm and mellow through all of this. Now....BAM! It hit you, didn't it? I really think I would have lost my mind trying to plan everything for my wedding if I couldn't have came onto Gather, oh, 4 or 5 times a day and freaked out. Everything will be beautiful no matter what colors you pick. It won't be too black or look like rainbow brite. Dake a deep breath and think about what you want. It's your wedding. Best of luck.....keep us posted. (like I needed to tell you that!)

It's your wedding! If you aren't mluch about dressing up, I go with the black Wranglers, not the tux. Keep it simple...let them wear white shirts and a pink flower or one of those cowboy ties with the strings...you know what I mean. It's been too long since I lived in Montana to remember what they're called. The string could be pink...or black with a silver slider and you could take pink nail polish and paint a tiny accent???

My wedding colors were pink and silver. The guys didn't wear any pink, even though my husband wanted to. lol I figured my soon to be BIL wouldn't go for it, though. :) They wore black tuxes with silver vests and cummerbunds. The girls were in pink dresses with pink and white flowers, tied with silver ribbons. All of the decorations were pink and silver, and I think it all tied together pretty well.

I'm afraid I won't be much help with this. We had a very small wedding and didn't do the big thing.

I like the idea of letting the guys wear jeans and the white shirts (both easy to find) and a flower that would match whatever you have the ladies wear.

we did black wrangler w/white shirts. the guys wore bolo ties (what Ellie was talking about) and then bad the boutaneers (sp??) match the girls. I like your idea of multiple colored flowers for the girls. the guys could wear any of the colors that way :)

I'm pretty worthless when it comes to weddings...I did next to nothing for mine...LOL...and was even late...I was married in December, so it was green for me.
This is why I relied on Terri so much for my wedding. Well actually I knew mostly what I wanted, but I needed Terri to bug me to keep it up and to help decide on other stuff.
