I love my sewing machine!!!!

I just got a desk from my Dad and I set my sewing machine up on it. I love having my machine so accessible. I would have to pull it out of a closet and set it up on my kitchen table. This was a big hassle and it caused me to not want to even mess with it.

So now that I have it set up I have been playing with it a lot. I already made my youngest a Batman quilt. He loves Batman right now. He has been playing Lego Batman with his older brother almost everyday now. When i finished the quilt and gave it to him he was so excited.

Also my youngest has been running around with blankets around his neck trying to get that cape effect. So I looked in my material and found extra black material that I was not planning on using so I made my boys some capes. Dorian's turned out a lot smaller than I wanted, but I made his first and with no pattern so it was a learning experience. Tristians turned out really nice though and Dorian snatches it from Tristian when Tristian isn't playing with it. They are so cute running around acting like Batman and Robin.

I love the creativity I have with my sewing machine. I just wish I had more patience so I could use it even more.

Wow, sounds like your sewing machine is getting a great workout!!!!! The quilt is really neat!!!! Cute kids! I hava a portable sewing machine (brand new) that I've never used in like 15 years!!!!! It just sits and collects dust! Lost my interest in sewing several years ago!

I just love sewing and being crafty. My sewing machine sits on a table too. I wish it was a true sewing table but that's ok. I remember when it sat in the closet too. Keep on stitchin!

That quilt is awesome, and your sons sure look happy. I have to drag my sewing machine out as well, and it is so annoying, as I have to pack everything up in a middle of a project.

I don't sew. I know how, I've just never liked it. We have a sewing machine somewhere that I don't think we've ever even used. Usually if anyone sews it's my husband, and he's just sewing a rip or something.

That's one thing I wished I had been taught--I probably could sew a button if I tried, but I've never even tried, since my husband always does those repairs!

great job on the quilt! There are some groups here for sharing quilt pictures and ideas, warming creations and quilting together.... that's the reason I joined gather, to find more places to talk & share quilt info. Hope you get your projects done for christmas!
Thanks for all the nice comments. The quilt wasn't that difficult. I purposely make the squares big so that it is fairly simple. i am not making any projects this year. But I had in the past. Every year I would make each of my siblings a quilt and actually the batman quilt I just made was made from the left over material of my sisters quilt.
