Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Now when the black friday and cyber monday is finished, I was wondering if you have find the best deals ever.

I was following the news about shopping for few days before the black friday and I was really excited about going shopping as this was my first black friday experience. Well, I went last year too, but we were living in small city, where wasn't many of the big stores, so I haven't really find any great deals. This year it was different. WE have a big shopping mall and all the big stores, as Walmart, Target, Best buy and so ...... When I bought the newspapers on Thanksgiving I was ready to find the best deals ever, but was dissapointed when the prices weren't as good as I expected. I though maybe they didn't post everything and when I will come to store I would find something more. And I did find few greats deals, but again I though there will be more. I was surpriced when I have found one of my presents at Costco with the best price and it wasn't even black friday deal. Then I was following all the discussion here yesterday about Cyber Monday shopping, but it looked like they were not any great deals.

What do you think? Was it this year the best, as they were saying as news? Since the economy is really bad now, haven't you expected more deals, more coupons?

I did not see many great deals, but I was thinking that it might be because I'm not looking for electronics and gadgets. I'm personally counting on the after Christmas and January sales.

Too many people think of all of the money and material things at this time of the year.

I didn't get out to shop on Friday and I don't shop online unless it is on Ebay because I only have Paypal to use online.

I am only spending 100.00 each on my 4 kids and 1 daughter in law and grand child.
That is their max limit this year.

You are right, people think too much about money and material things, but that's how it is every christmas.

Spending $100 on each? Wow, that is a lot of money.

I saw a couple of good deals and took advantage of some. I thought they had better deals than last year (but then again I didn't look).

I bought a few things, but they weren't Christmas related. I'm building a house, and they had a great deal on a dishwasher as well as linens so I stocked up. I didn't really see any great deals on Christmas presents, but then again, I wasn't really looking.

I had shopped earlier so what I was looking for on Black Friday, I didn't see it. They had great deals on Black Friday but nothing I wanted.

I went shopping on Friday - and looked online yesterday a bit. I think it really depends on what you are looking for. I didn't really find any GREAT deals, but my sister got some good ones on clothes.....I try to watch sales every week to see who has what......the stores were busy though...that has to help the economy - at least a little bit, right?!?!?

I had nothing to do with Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I have no money, so shopping was not something that I was going to be doing.

Everywhere we go the parking lots are crowded. We got all of our shopping done before thanksgiving. I never participate in black friday because people are insane!

I don't shop on Black Friday, and I didn't shop online on Cyber Monday. Instead, I hit the brick-and-mortars on Monday, and I found some really good deals on some things (as I mentioned in my post about Tuesday being a day for recovery).
