When some of us think about Harvest Gold, we remember Harvest Gold refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers. I prefer to forget...

Others may recall the true origins of Harvest Gold... soybeans just starting to turn, wheat fields ripe with the bounty of harvest...

Many of us associate Harvest Gold with Thanksgiving. I have very fond memories of last week's Thanksgiving feast, and some of the delicious Harvest Gold foods we found on our table...

Golden brown, turkey gravy, made fragrant with maple butter and thyme...

Peanut butter and chocolate pie...

A Monte Cristo Croissant stuffed with turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese still warm from the griddle...

And made-from-scratch pumpkin pie... all reasons to be thankful for the season's many blessings... all reasons to celebrate Harvest Gold.

But Harvest Gold can be about other things, too. Sometimes Harvest Gold isn't delicious, or warm from the oven... it's bitterly cold.

Other times, it's about a different kind of warmth... light, faith, hope, and love.

Sometimes it's about a journey, to heaven only knows where...

And sometimes Harvest Gold is about golden years, golden memories, and recognizing all that we have to be thankful for.
This week at Rainbow Connections, we'll be taking a closer look at what Harvest Gold means to you. Your photos, poems, posts, videos, and creative expressions are all welcome. Come... be thankful. Come... join the fun.

I want the recipe for the peanut butter and chocolate pie
I, too, want that peanut butter and chocolate pie recipe. Or just the pie if anyone wants to make one for me! ;)

I already made a couple mistakes - I'm so sorry for that.
