This was written to reflect my shock and sadness at the events in Mumbai and elsewhere wherever evil forces are at work.
My message to all those who are now agonizing, is this : don't call yourselves victims. Don't let those, that use satanic forces, cause you to deviate you from your noble paths. Not even for a moment. You are survivors and I salute you.
I'm doing a lot of night time work working for our community protection services. It's a very onerous tak and it's keeping me from Gather. Because of it, I could tell you of the minds of evil people and their devilish intentions.
I miss all of my Gather friends dearly. Soon this will be over and I'll be able to share thoughts with you again...as before.
Mama Papa
I hear God speak
He told me don't be sad
He wants us all to come
And gather in the field.
Mama Papa
Do you see that light?
It's a golden glow from Him
Do you feel it too?
He says I'm here with you.
What is this I feel?
Why do my spirits soar?
Why do I no longer fear those bombs?
Why do my arms reach up?
And feel His warm embrace.
***
Far away
In a realm of hate
People heard a sound
They too heard a call
But not a joyous trumpet.
And they too gathered
In a field of their own
And on a far off horizon
They saw a hint of light
A distant golden glow.
But then they felt a coldness
Hands tugged at shawls and coats
Neighbours sensed evil close at hand
And sudden senses of revulsion
Made friends recoil from the other's touch.
Mama Papa
I heard God speak
He spoke to me with sadness
He held my hand and told me
That that yonder glow
Can now not be for us.
Mama Papa
I'm just a little child
I don't know why God said that
Did we do something wrong?
Mama Papa
Look in my eyes and tell me
Did we do something wrong?

Yes, i believe we did something wrong. We tolorate evil in our mist and call it the right of sekf expression. We accept hate and violence and call it being politically correct
Thank you for this message, Fred. Its quite disturbing to look into the eyes of children who have undergone personal tragedies all over the world. War, terrorism, accidents..the religion of Hate, rather than of love.
Thank you , once again, for writing this.
Please, take care -
Hugs and blessings to you from your Russian friend - S. :-)
You may not know how good it feels to be back on Gather...even it it's just for a moment.
Perhaps in ten days time things will be better. By thhen I'll have done my stint and helped clear out some vile miscreants.
John, you don't know how I hate that phrase "politically correct". It's a phrase that weak indecisive leaders hide. Give me an Alexander any day.
Thank you for your visit.
PS don't think that I haven't been reading your wonderful poetry. I have,
Your visit here is very highly treasured.
I've seen the eyes of children. I can't stand the pain that I've see. But above all, I can't stand the total bewilderment. It's not the look that should be in their eyes.
Being a child should be time of discovery and joy. It's for this reason that I've been doing these night duties. For three months now we've have had no incidents. For that I thank God.
Thank you Minakshi for coming by.
There's one thing that I hate are these vendettas that heve been going on endlessly. Some revenges are based on incidents that happened over a thousand years ago. This is so mindless.
Inside everybody is a core of goodness. Perhaps deeply concealed for some Freudian or other reason...but it's there. Why can't we reach that core?...or at least try to reach it.
Perhaps you are right. We are having a darkness before a golden dawn. I'll pray for that.
You hit the nail on the head. Why does what happen seem so pointless? Surely if you kill a hundred people or more one should know what the devious purpose was.
And if there was some evil twisted reason, could it not have been discussed?
Did Paul not ask us to show hope, faith and love?
It's so good to see you here.
Yes John said it perfectly. Someone once said that for bad things to happen, all thatit takes is for good men should do nothing.
And as Sveta indicated...that does not mean striking back in anger. There are other ways of resolving conflict.
Your thought on terror is greatly appreciated.
Awesome poem! ...thanks for sharing it.
Warm regards
Anil
