Lost Bag Forces Fan Favorite Out Of Amazing Race 13

Last week a non elimination leg saved frat boys Andrew and Dan. This week there was no saving the final four teams as they embarked on their second to last leg. The teams remained in Moscow, Russia and their first task was to find a submarine. Toni/Dallas, Ken/Tina, and Nick/Starr all found the submarine at the same time. They searched inside for the actor who filmed a movie inside the submarine and all found the man at the same time. After receiving their clues it was off to a Fallen Park for the next Road Block. Dan and Andrew arrived last and were there alone. After finding their clue they went to the streets for a taxi where a truck splashed water all over them. They weren’t too upset though as it isn’t the worst that’s happened to them on the race. They knew it was only a matter of time something like that would happen and hoped that was the last for the day.

In the Fallen Monument Graveyard it was time for the Road Block. Nick and Starr arrived first and read the clue. It was probably the hardest task in any Amazing Race as they first had to solve a number puzzle, counting the number of Lennon and Stalin heads in the grounds. They then had to find a bookstore, give the woman the number and receive a book. After getting the book they then had to use the page number, 62, to find a clue to the author of the book’s house. There they would get their next clue. Nick found most of the clues early and was off to the bookstore. Dallas and Tina were doing the challenge around the same time and both were foreshadowed for losing their passports. Dan and Andrew arrived last after going to the round park. Who would of thought they would of done that? While the other three searched for the clues, Nick found the book and was on his way to the author’s house. Dallas was the next to try the bookstore and guessed wrong with 36. Nick was the first to find the building, allowing he and Starr to move on and the others still doing the Road Block.

Tina and Dallas both tried to guess again but neither were correct. Nick and Starr were already at the Detour before anyone else was done and put them at a very far advantage. The Detour was to either ride the train and get a pastry with the next location of a woman. Giving her the pastry would give them the location of their last location and time to search for their next clue. In the Ride the Lines Detour they had to ride the trolley and find a key maker to a storage locker. Then after getting to a station they would find the same picture to their final location and landing in the same spot as the other Detour. Nick and Starr decided to take the subway ride for the pastry while Andrew finally was at the Road Block clues. Dallas and Tina both guessed again with Tina getting it correct. He gave Dallas the right number while leaving, once again helping out the enemy. Dallas was finally done with the Detour and that left only Dan/Andrew not doing the Detour.

On the way to the Detour Ken and Tina weren’t too happy with each other. Ken didn’t like the fact that Tina helped Dallas but I’m sure he’ll get over it. Finally at the bookstore, Andrew gave the clue of 61. Dallas was having some more issues though as the taxi door slammed shut with his passport and money in it. Guess all the foreshadowing led to them and with the bag in a taxi who knows how they will find it! Dan was happy for the development and so was Andrew he finally got the book. Although they had no money, Toni and Dallas asked for money and received. They ended up taking the subway to the Detour park instead of a taxi but hey they had to get there somehow. Ken and Tina were next at the Detour, and they decided to ride the lines. Nick/Starr ended up finding the pastry and were on their way to the lady. Toni/Dallas ended up beating Dan/Andrew to the clue but didn’t ride the taxi so they couldn’t get their clue. Dan/Andrew then found out they had to do their Speed Bump before getting the clue and it was time for Dan to make up for his last round embarrassment.

The Speed Bump was to dance with a Russian Dance troupe….. Dan’s worse nightmare. They didn’t do it correctly the first time, forcing them to do it over again but finally Dan/Andrew finished up and were onto the Detour. Toni and Dallas were still having luck without money as they received some from strangers on the street. They headed back to the Road Block and jumped into a taxi this time. Ken and Tina also made the wrong move, but this time on the Detour. They were supposed to take a trolley but ended up taking a regular bus. Dan and Andrew ended up taking the trolley as well but actually took the right one for once. While everyone was still screwing up Nick/Starr finished the Detour and were off to the pit stop. Seems they hit their stride again. They ended up arriving at the Pit Stop first, once again, and put them in first for the final leg of the race.

Tina and Kenny were still on the Detour and found the Key Maker first followed by Dan and Andrew. They were then both on their way back to the trolley station where their lockers would be found. Both were then on their way to the last clue box of the Detour and ready to head to the Pit Stop. Andrew and Dan ended up finding the box first since Tina insisted the picture on the postcard had something to do with the clue box. That gave Dan and Andrew their first ever final two spot and a sure shot for a chance at the million. Ken and Tina followed them to the mat, not realizing they had to find the clue first. That gave Dallas and Toni the chance to catch up time but it seemed pretty grim. They ended up finding the clue before Dallas and Toni even had a chance to get back to the trolley, making Ken and Tina the last of the three teams racing to the finish line for the million dollars. That means that Toni and Dallas, sadly, were eliminated from the race. Both wanted it badly and one small, but huge, mistake put them in last and took away their chance of winning. Phil actually eliminated them while they were still on the Detour as there was no point for them to continue begging for money. Next week marks the final leg of the Amazing Race 13.
