1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate for sure!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? A little of both but mainly the latter.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored for sure! Lots and lots of lights!
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Yes!
5. When do you put up your decorations? Right after Thanksgiving but I won't get to in until next week on my next day off from work.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? My grandma's tater tot casserole, krumkake, lefse, Grandma's homemade donuts, rosettes
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Getting together with my entire family every Christmas Eve. We still do that but several of my favorite people have passed away over the years and the get togethers have gotten smaller.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Oh man I don't remember exactly how old I was... I think I was about 10 or so when I started questioning him and tried to stay up to catch "Santa" in the act and caught my mom instead lol. She didn't know I knew though... same way I found out about the tooth fairy.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We open all the presents from the family on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning is all Santa presents.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Lots of pretty ornaments, a silver beaded garland and lots of lights with a star on top.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I "like" snow to look at but don't want to be out in it... especially if I have to drive.
12. Can you ice skate? Never tried it.... but I want to!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? A toy chest my Grandpa made for me when I was about 3 that I still have and a BMX bike he gave me when I was about 4 and rode until I was about 13 or 14 and gave it to my younger cousin who trashed it.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being with my family and remember WHY we celebrate Christmas. It's not about the getting it's about remembering we're celebrating the birth of our Savior and what he came to do and what he's already done and what he's going to do! :)
15. What is your favorite HolidayDessert? Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin and cream cheese rolls, rosettes, krumkake, lefse, Grandma's homemade donuts and anything chocolate.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Putting up all the decorations, watching Christmas movies obsessively, getting together on Christmas eve with my family, etc. I love it all!
17. What tops your tree? Star
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? I like both equally but I have to say since I have kids that I sure get just as much excitement out of watching them opening gifts than I do getting any!
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Too many to list I love pretty much all of them including classic and contemporary.
20. Candy Canes? Yes? No? Color? Don't really like candy canes.... or lifesavers, you know.... those gift boxes with the lifesavers? Never liked getting those, lol.
21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Yes and I try hard not to get sucked in too bad. Whether I spend a lot on Christmas or not the main thing I try and remember constantly as well as keep my children remembering is what Christmas is really all about.
