My little boy's birthday is this week. His birthday falls on the day that my daughter's choir is having an evening concert at Rock City. Rock City has Christmas lights every year, but we have never been. They are a little too pricey for us normally. We only have to pay for one ticket in and everyone else is free. There are only so many tickets alloted to each family.
We had a last minute impromptu "party" yesterday for Seth. Basically, I invited one little boy, his older sister, and their mom to a movie yesterday. I paid their way into see the new Disney movie Bolt. The other mom paid for a snack deal for the kids to share. It was so last minute that I was so surprised when they got Seth a birthday gift. He was really excited and happy. We went to the food court at the mall to eat after the movie, then looked around a little at Barnes and Noble.
We looked a birthday cakes today, just for fun. They were really expensive, in my opinion. Seth liked the Nascar cake, but they were all expensive. I think I can try and make him something instead. He likes homemade cake better too. We will just be having cake for our family anyway, so that's only 4 people.
This is a scrapbook page I made a few years ago for his 6th birthday.

Ann Marie, homemade cakes are the best, ask any child! (or grown-up for that matter)
He's how old now? Wow, he sure is growing up fast, but they do grow up too fast, don't they? Enjoy every moment of the littler years, they go by way too quickly.
Hugs,
Marilyn
Hope you are having a nice holiday season Anne Marie!

Anne Marie, isn't it amazing how fast they grow up? I hope you had a great day together!
