Who else has this happened to???

Periodically...I will go back to some of my old favorite posts and add them to the new groups I've joined.  An interesting observation has led me to notice that a few of my posts, were totally removed from all of my groups.

I didn't remove them.  I was wondering why they weren't getting any more responses and figured that they were too old and folks just didn't go back that far.  Now...I'm realizing that maybe it's because my posts were removed from all the groups.

I guess it happened with the new upgrade.  Has this happened to anyone else???

If you posted to several groups and all of those groups were eliminated, it probably is related to the updates made since you posted the items. I haven't come across this particular glitch yet with my content.
Hmmm, I don't know, never looked, but it's interesting that yours went poof like that. Weird too. Yep, must be the upgrade.

As far as I know, the only way for a post to disappear (other than the author to remove it) is for the group owner or moderator to remove it. You might try asking them if they removed your post(s) and why. The post should still exist in your list of "my posts" if they did, which means it's still visible to members, but not associated with any particular group. if it's still in your list, it's highly unlikely that it had anything to do with an upgrade- that implies that the upgrade "knew" which groups your posts were listed in and selectively removed them from the groups.

Nancy.... In theory that would be correct. However, my post was removed from ALL the groups, including my own and I know that I didn't remove myself from my own groups. This is more than likely a glitch. If it was a one or two or even a few...then you could be correct...but my post was removed from all the groups including my own. I will have to chalk this one up to the times our friendships get removed and when you contact them and ask them why...most of the time they will tell you that they didn't remove you. I do remember this happening more after the upgrade, but it had been a while since I went back to old posts and when I saw this happen again...I thought that I would post about it.

I wold contact Gather member services then and let them know about it. It seems like something they should look in to.

sometimes if you edit then the article doesn't get re-added, or sometimes the moderator won't accept. could be that, or could be a glitch as you said.

I never thought to check that. I just assumed when posts quit getting comments, it's because they are buried in my pages of posts!
