Well he finally did it, my husband left me......
..............................
..............................
to go to Texas!
We have a few people that are interested in renting or buying our house down there, but we were having some issues with some stuff in the house, so he left this morning to drive down there & take care of it all.
We were having some water that came into the downstairs Great Room, and left the carpet with water marks & some sand as well. Then since there was that moisture in there, some mold started to grow on a couple of the walls. There is a drain outside that has to be cleared so this won't happen again.
So my husband is going to clean the carpets, walls, do a bunch of yard work - cut the banana tree's down so they will come back next year, rake up the gumballs in the yard, clean everything he can & he will actually be showing the house early next week to a couple of people.
This way he can take care of some business, see his son, daughter in law & grand-daughter, do the yard work, see his regular Dr. for an appointment, and bring back the rest of our stuff!
So I will be home alone....well not really. I have my 14 year old daughter, our cat Oranges, Josie our mini -dachshund & Lucky (a great watchdog).
He will be back home next Saturday, then I head to Orlando/Bahamas' on Tuesday of the following week.
So we hope to get this house rented or sold soon, it is really eating up any money we do have & is becoming a pain. If it doesn't rent/sell soon, we might have to think about going back there.
By the way....my Husband would nver really leave me! :) He's my best friend!

Good to hear that you might be able to sell/rent the house soon. We have all but given up trying for the time being with our second home. Take care this week!
I felt such a sense of relief when I read "to go to Texas." Now, I'm going to have to put a nitro patch on. I guess I need to read the whole story first.
Good luck! :) Hope all goes well!
:)
I didnt think for a minute he would leave.
What a title. I hope that his trip is fruitful:)
rock on
We recently put an ad in the newspaper down there, advertising the house for rent or sale - and have been getting a decent amount of phone calls on it.
Hubby is driving through some bad rain right now in Tennesee. He is hoping to be in Texas in time to watch the Vikings game later today~
Lived in one room for months. Then in a nice apartment for a year, then a smaller one for another year, now we're in two rooms, as with my husband being disabled, that's what we can afford, especially since I got turned down for SSD, thinking I was doing the government a favor (do NOT ever do this!), I waited over 10 years to apply for SSD, not wanting to take money when we could get by on what he made at work prior to his getting sick.... and guess what the cut-off is? Ten years.
So, OK, where are you? *smile*
Best of luck and a LOT better luck than we had.
Hugs,
Marilyn (he'll be home before you know it, and can you tell I haven't been online in awhile?)
Good luck on getting your house rent/sold.
Good luck with the house - it's a tough market out there.
Mary - I am going to Orlando & the Bahama's for work, so Hubby doesn't get to come with.
I hope he gets it all taken care of.. I dont need any scares like that again.. lol woah.. that really freaked me out..
Hope everything works out
and when I saw the title tonight, my heart plunged
all the way to the floor.
Sooooo glad when I opened and read it, that it
wasn't the bad news I had anticipated.
:-)
Hope you had a good day today, Priscilla.
