It seems that the Walmart on Long Island wasn't the only one that had crowd problems. In a ToysRUs there was a shooting, a few other stores had some reported injuries.
Today I opened both my Newsday and Daily News and they had a few pages with the pictures of the stampede...just horrible. Walmart needs to be held accountable for creating the mob scene. They should have had the barricades, proper crowd control security. Then also know better, since this is not the first Walmart instance.
I have a Walmart only a few minutes away, I refused to go there. Most of the people who go in there(in my town) have no manners or they lose them once they enter. On a not holiday sale , I have been pushed into or ran over with carts ...and they don't care. They knock down stuff and leave it. I know not all Walmart goers are like this and in other towns ...they don't have these issues...but in mine we do.
Mabye I am wrong, maybe I have the issues...but I was always taught about manners. I will not run someone over with my cart, and if I did...I would feel bad. I also will not shove or push just to get some TV. If you want it that bad ....have it. It just isn't worth it.
When I ran across Kmart 15 years ago...no one was pushed or shoved , infact there was no one in front of me and it was just fun ..and I even helped other customers get the toys they wanted from that top shelf. My manners stayed with me.

Noah wanted to go into Target this year and I had a few items but when we went to the checkout there was a line all the way around the side & to the back of the store. Since Target's is a 2 day sale this year, we just put our stuff back and came back a few hours later and got everything we wanted at the sales price.
I didn't do Target this year, might still. I did do some online shopping or some the week before..it was so much easier. I think we really went out yesterday for the laughs that we thought we would have(as in past years). But when you start getting pushed just for a 99cent snowglobe...I have to start rethinking black fridays
I know that Target stopped the six hour sale a few years ago- for the exact reason of what just happened.
