Free Online College course - $1800 value - you can transfer the credit - anyone try this?

Has anyone tried the free online college course at Future Scholars?  It's supposed to be an $1,800 value and you can transfer the 5 credits to another university. Are online classes harder or easier? I've been thinking about an online degree but hadn't heard of them before. Any thoughts? If you go to school online, do you have a program that you really like?

I've given thought to getting my degree but I don't think I would do it online.

I checked it out-- it looks like the credit is from Kaplan, which is an accredited University, so it should be okay. I've taken online classes and I don't think it's a matter of harder or easier, it's just what works for your lifestyle. Online you can be in"class" at 2 a.m. if you need to be. There's due dates, interaction with other students etc. Some classes even have "group projects"

thanks for the info Gretchen I wonder if I could stay motivated if it was not an actual class with a real live professor - but online would work better with my schedule right now. I was wondering - how do you do a group project in an online class?

I have never heard of this. Initially it has the "too good to be true" feeling, so I wonder what its limitations are, and if its legit. It is something I wonder about too, however, so I hope you're able to find the answers you're looking for! Good luck!
