Miz Philly Sits On My Piano Now!

Sending a big Thank You to my friend, Phyllis, who took action and sent me this lovely treasure.   She posted an article about an old antique shop and there amongst the many items from yesteryear, was this chalkware doll.  I have one just like her in a locked cabinet so naturally, I had to have this one.  Now, she sits on my piano, just like the first one sat on my dear aunt's piano since the 1940's.  Her name, naturally, is Miz Philly - my pet name for Phyllis.  She makes me smile every morning!  Salud

I sent her the money but she went through all the trouble of packing it very well in lovely pink wrapping and bubble pack - I didn't even know it came in pink - so Phyllis! Her husband drove back to the neighboring town to purchase it for me and then they packaged and mailed it. I love it ! Salud

Sharon, we surely are - she wrapped it up very carefully fulls of pink bubble wrap - I am going to use it in some art form! It's actually my Christmas present to myself! Salud

Awww Tinch - you just made my day - actually, I live in a tiny Santa Barbara bungalow and don't need a thing except I'm painting my kitchen and decided to look for a 1930's light fixture for the breakfast nook and also three old crystal bowls to hold my onions and fruits...that's it!!! I can't go in those stores as I go wild!!! Carpenteria, near here, has loads of those stores too but I stay away!!! All I have room for now are old pictures...thanks for dropping by my friend. Salud

Mariana, my beautiful friend.....last night was my first time back on gather since Wednesday (11/27). I am thrilled that you love Miz Philly, -- she is beautiful!!! I love the bold and vibrant colors...it seems the colors were more beautiful on the 'old things'!!! Please know hubby and I enjoyed being able to get it for you....no trouble at all!!! I hope to go back there in couple months....I am still looking for an antique cabinet for my television!!!! (Btw, thanks for mentioning my article and thanks to Wilma for posting the link.....I really appreciate that!!!!
