"I've been teaching writing for 35 years in many settings," Bell says, "so I've seen literally hundreds of thousands of people over the last three decades, and all of the various writings that they do and have understood what their most common errors are."

Drawing from her experience, Bell has written a new book, Clean, Well-Lighted Sentences: A Guide to Avoiding the Most Common Errors in Grammar and Punctuation. Published by W.W. Norton & Company, Bell's book is designed to help people overcome grammar roadblocks so they can gain more confidence as writers.

Janis referred to one of my favorite grammar books, "Woe is I" by Patricia T. O'Connor. If this book is in that class, it is a definite must-read.
Mind you, I found quite a few grammatical mistakes in it!
