Buckeye Cookies

These cookies are delicious.They are a little like small cakes.
The recipe says it will make 5 dozen,but it only made 3 dozen at the size I made them,which is small. Cookie recipes,at least for me,never make the amount they say they will.I guess I try to make them too big.
The cookie dough is very easy to work with,these are not hard to make.

3 cups flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsps milk
2 eggs
1 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
Filling
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350
In a large mixing bowl stir together flour,cocoa and baking powder.
In another bowl beat butter and peanut butter for about 30 seconds.Add remaining ingredients and beat until mixed.Add the butter mixture to the flour mixture and stir until it forms a dough.
To make filling
Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter.
Make 36 chocolate balls,about 1 1/2 to 2" in diameter.Make the same amount of peanut butter balls,about half the size of the chocolate balls.
Slightly flatten a chocolate ball in your hand and place a peanut butter ball on it.Work the dough around the peanut butter ball to cover it and then roll in hand to form smooth ball.
Place balls on cookie sheet about 2 " apart(they dont spread) and flatten slightly with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 8-9 minutes until just set and starting to crack.

I used parchment paper on my cookie sheets so there was no sticking.
