How many emails in your box and I am waiting for my wall unit - Nov 26

Day before the 2008 Thanksgiving and I am waiting for the wall unit I bought online Sunday for the new TV. This Thanksgiving is kinda sad to me. I think empty nest syndrome is putting it mildly.

I wish for once that I could have all my girls together once again, I wish for once I could have a thanksgiving at my house. I love my inlaws alot, but I really wish that I could have a holiday at home and have them come over. I miss the days when I was a teenager and everyone would come to our house for the holidays. We would alternate between our house and my Aunt's for Christmas & Thanksgiving. It is so different now.

My girls are scattered around, my oldest is working tomorow at the gym..they offered her a big bonus to do it, my two middle girls are down in VA, so it is really just down to 3 of us at home. I miss all of them being with me, my husband could care less. What is with men.

I did see one of my middle girl's yesterday. She came up on Sunday for a few days but going back for Thanksgiving to spend it with her sister that she is living with.(Which I am glad that they are together). We went to the movies last night and saw Madagascar..it was hysterical. The theater wasn't crowded yet and at the end of the movie when we were all alone...my girls started dancing to the music...it was so funny. Yet as I dropped my daughter off at her friend's, I felt this pain inside. It is always hard to say goodbye to them.

You know what is funny....last year when she left....we found the kittens....I wonder if God put them there to try and take away some of the pain of having your children leave the nest. It took some of the focus off her leaving and put it on taking care of them.  I guess I have a new set of "who's mama's babies"!
