He touched the moon--with attitude!

Elliott has recently become intrigued by the moon. He loves to point it out to everyone, telling you where it is, what it is, and who made it.

One night I was driving home, and it was just getting dark. He was talking about the moon, when suddenly he asked "I hold moon?"

I explained to him that he could not hold the moon, since it was in the sky. He gave a disappointed sigh as he repeated that the moon was in the sky, and then he became very quiet.

Later I could hear him grunting, and he was trying to jump in his car seat and reach toward the window. I asked him what he was doing.

"I touch moon!" He wasn't asking. He was telling me, with a very defiant, two year old attitude, that since I wouldn't let him hold the moon, he was at least going to touch it!

I was highly amused, yet a little worried...if he's already trying to prove me wrong and defy me, what do I have to look foward to when he starts to become a mouthy teenager!?

That is so cute. I remember when the girls were little we would take a blanket out into the yard and lay on our backs and look at the stars and moon at night. In the day would watch the clouds go by. Of course we did neither when it was snowing like now. LOL

Enjoy him, they grow up fast. I know you keep hearing that from everyone and you will not realize it until it is too late.

That's so cute! Sky loves the moon as well, and we sure talk a lot about space. Every time we go to the library we take out space moves and space books.

That is so cute. My Elliott is not at all interested in the sky. When I tried to get him to look at clouds with me, he asked if they were snow drifts and when I told him no he told me they were boring. lol
