My dear Mittens died yesterday to me of a horrible death. She was only 7 months or would’ve been today. We have been having real cold weather in the high 20’s at night and the wee hours of the 24th is when we think she may have passed. We found out yesterday because she didn’t come to breakfast which was unusual and when my husband and mom went to go to the store they saw her up under one of the vehicles, when my mom went to check on her she was frozen she had frozen to death. We have a bed outside for our cats full of blankets and straw but she was always the outcast and never wanted to lay with them. Most nights she just played all night and ran around to keep herself warm, not sure what made the difference this night but now she was taken from us. Of course this has taught me a lesson regardless of them having blankets or not from now on out anything under 40’s at night all my animals will be inside… regardless rest in peace my dear Mittens…. We Love you and miss you.
