look at the calendar..Its November 24 which means Christmas Eve in a month! Can't wait!!! What do you do on Christmas Eve.. church for sure and this year I think we're opening presents as my SIL has to work early Christmas morning...
We have gone to my Aunt's house every year since I was 6 months old! This year, they aren't going to be home - so we will be spending the eveining at home and will probably drive around and look at lights!
We don't celebrate Christmas morning only Christmas Eve. This means we will be eating Christmas dinner, dancing around the Christmas tree and opening presents.
Please dont remind me. I'm getting nervous as the order I ordered from Borders is not in yet for me to pick up. Usually I'm done by now, but I have a book on preorder that I ordered last month and a book on back order. One thing I hate about Borders though is they fail to tell you it's on back order until you finalize you order. So I'm getting a bit nervous.
Yikes! I better get a move on my shopping. And today also marks two months before my 40th birthday.
We spend Christmas Eve with my dad's family (aunts, uncles, cousins), celebrating the feast of the 7 fishes (there is plenty of food without fish for me and my cousin Jessica).
On Christmas Eve morning, I take my two kids to the mall. We just walk around,buy some chocolate and enjoy the day. We go to church in the evening and they open one gift before bed. It's different now that they're teenagers - much more quiet than it used to be.
We'll be at our oldest daughter and her husband Jeremy's new home. Baby Jack will keep us all busy. Christmas eve we head over to our dearest friends house for their huge open house then it's time for midnight mass. After mass we, with Jeremy's family we laugh and talk over a tray of sandwich making supplies. In the past our family stayed up and opened our presents after Jeremy's family left so our morning would be less hectic since we have 3 houses to go to. I'm not sure what we'll be doing this year with baby Jack. No matter it is always a joyous time.

For some reason, since we've been married, my husband and I have always exchanged gifts on Christmas Eve, since Christmas morning/day was always so busy. (His family has done this for years) After Elliott was born, we still did this, but Elliott was so young that we still celebrated on Christmas morning with him, since he didn't realize what was going on anyway.
We haven't even discussed what we will do this year, he's not a baby anymore, he will be two!! Probably one gift on Christmas Eve and have a traditional Christmas morning.
We do read him some Christmas stories before bed on Christmas Eve though...traditional and religious.
Since my boyfriend and I have been dating, either one or both of us has had to work on Christmas Eve. Whatever time we get off from work, we drive down to his mom's house(about 30 minutes) and spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning there. Once my boyfriend goes to work the next day, I go to my dad's for his Christmas brunch/lunch.
My mom lives in Florida, so I will be going down after Jan 1st this year to do Christmas down there. I actually just got the last few points I needed from Gather this morning to make sure I had enough for my plane ticket. :)

I just found out today Chris is playing at his church so the family is going there for a 7pm mass on Christmas Eve.
