My Finished Tree

Here are a few quick photos of my finished tree. I'm sure I'll take and post many more in the days to come- last year, it was an obsession! I love how festive and colorful it turned out this year. The colors are so vibrant against the white tree!

We had a whole debachaul with the tree topper we had breaking, then trying to glue it back together, getting super glue everywhere, and making a huge mess. Then I put up an old gold tinsel topper we had. Today when I was in Goodwill, I found that topper for $1.99, then it was half off, so it rang up $.99 was all. The plastic is a bit dirty, and covered in glitter we can't wipe it down, but it works for me!

In the pictures it looks orange or gold, but the lights are all red.

Ooooooooo very pretty!!!! Ours probably won't go up until Friday.
Normally we wait until this upcoming weekend, but I'll be in Rockford for the weekend at my mom's to do some baking, and then going to a cousin's benefit dinner, so I won't be around.

Most of this was decorated by the kids. I have rearranged some (like the branch that had 4 plastic candy canes on it, and the branch that was home to 2 jingle bells and 3 icicles), but this was the kids project. Next year, I'd love to have 2 trees, and decorate one by myself. ;)

Lovely tree! I usually let my nephews decorate one of mine and I promise them I'll leave it just as they have it...always a challenge to not change anything. I put up three other trees that I do myself.
