God's Love

God's love is like a breeze wafting over us on a hot summer day.  We know it is there, but we  cannot see it with our eyes...though we can see evidence of that love all around us.

We see it in nature.  In lush green valleys, snowcapped mountaintops, foam-capped waves crashing upon the shore, we see God's love.

In the roar of a lion, the mew of a kitten or a baby's laughter, God's love for all of creation is shown.

God's love is a free gift to all of mankind.  It doesn't matter what religion or political affiliation we are a part of.  It doesn't matter if we are rich or poor.  It doesn't matter what our sexual orientation is.  God loves us all just as we are and wants to be in a loving relationship with us.

It does not matter how broken we re.  God loves us despite our brokenness., and He has a love that can transform our brokenness into a masterpiece of beauty.

God's love does not restrict us, but rather frees us from the prisons of our own choosing.  His love is the key that can unlock the door to our bigotry, hate, self-righteousness, addictions, pain and selfishness.

God's love frees us to love others without judgment.  God's love is the binding force that can heal broken relationships, for when we walk in the freedom of God's love, our hearts open to forgiveness of self, as well as others.

God's love is like a breeze...gentle, transforming, and soothing...carrying us along to places we would never dream of... planting us to sow more love.
