Thanksgiving used to be the primary time that we traveled to see family. One year to Connecticut, another year to Arkansas, most of the time to St Louis. But the family in St Louis is no more. The last couple of years we've been at home. This year I'll actually be working on Thanksgiving, so we'll be having our Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday night! Hope you have a great holiday. I won't be going but 10 miles from my home. We are eating out this year at a restaurant with some of our family. Dessert will be later on that everning at my house.
wow - and I thought I had it bad when I had to drive 100 miles (2 hours) to my parents house for many many years with 4 little boys in the car. There were times I was yelling so much that I got lost! haha.........
No traveling any more though. My life has gotten really boring.
Traveling would be fun, but I'm not going anywhere. I don't actually have any plans to celebrate Thanksgiving, since the people I care about are all elsewhere and all have other plans.
No...we are staying home. My husband's parents, grandmother and sister's family live in the same street as us, so his other siblings all come home (they only live about an hour away) for all the holidays.
We will be traveling about 2 hours with two little ones! (I don't think I could do that whole 5 hour trip like you did. I would have pulled my hair out.)
