I caved for Christmas...

If you read my post about "What Happened to Thanksgiving" then you'd know that we decorate our home for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. But this year I got caught in a trap.

My SIL started selling PartyLite Candles, so I booked a party for next Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, since I didn't want to schedule it for the day after because we would be decorating our house. Problem was I forgot that my husband convinced me to decorate on Wednesday.

I was stuck. My husband was dead set on having the house decorated before that party.  Since I ruined his plans, I decided it was easier to give in and decorate the house. I thought I would share what my tree looks like here, and might take some more pictures of the other things in my house later.

Looks great!! I too want to wait till after Thanksgiving because it is Thanksgiving first!! My hubby put up a outside decoration and it looks great next to the hay and corn stalks-NOT!! LOL!! I wanna put X-mas stuff up too but we are waiting till Friday!!

Very pretty! I am waiting till after Thanksgiving. Fall is my favorite time of year and I want it to last a little longer. Once I put the Christmas decorations up I feel like winter is here.

I just ran upon this article this morning. You tree is beautiful. I have 3 sets of decorations and this year used the burgundy and gold. Next year will be blue and silver, but some year I might do silver and gold. That would be a lot more rowk because I'd have to get out twice and many boxes.

Is it still up? I usually do ours about two weeks before Christmas and take it all down shortly after Christmas. It gets on my nerves having all that stuff all over the house even though it's pretty and I like it.

It looked great. We decorated a bit earlier than usual this year too.
