My Daughter, Nita just left. She and my son Levi and I have decided to put off Thanksgving due to two of my other kids not being here. Son Brandon is still in jail, and son Derrick not back from Tennessee. Nita felt bad because she is going to her in-laws. I told her I always had a hard time with that also when young and two places to go, why go and stuff yourself twice when we can put it off . This way I will at least have them and son Brandon's sons, and Nita, Levi , and his girlfreind and baby. Martin and I will be just fine alone . I am sure we are not the first to do this, we will still have prayer and eat, it just won't be turkey, We are going to have ours Friday.

My father worked werid hours and werid days,
SO if the holiday fell on a working day, and we couldnt do it within his home hours we had it when he was off. One christmas we had it like 4 days after christmas, it was hard on the day, but when we did christmas, and everyone else was done with it, it was sooo cool,
and i am so glad we waited for him to be home, it was his last christmas with us, he died in April.
SO Thanksgiving is only on the calendar, you can have it when ever you can and with the people you want to have it with.
so let it be what must be,,,,
