What size turkey are you getting?

there will only be 4 of us but i'm still getting a 20 lb turkey.. love those leftovers!  i'll pick mine up at Food Lion tomorrow (.68/lb) so it'll have a good 3 days to thaw in the frig!! We aren't eating til 5 as my SIL has to work (he's a nurse).. Can't wait!  i love Thanksgiving!!

I managed to get a 13 pound turkey. And it was hard to find one that small.

I looked at them while at the store Friday and the smaller ones were more per pound than the larger ones. The reality is the kids normally eat fruits and veggies til dinner, then they are all about the rolls. So I decided I'd skip the turkey here. We are going two other places that day as well... They'll get turkey at one of those houses...

I think my sister was considering not getting a huge turkey this year...there are only 5 adults and 2 kids...and to cut down on expenses this year.....we are wondering if it's worth it to get a huge one....we will have leftovers anyways and we always have ham too..so to answer your question I don't know!!

got a 20 pound bird for .29 a pound - feeding six, but there are always stragglers then I send some of the leftovers to a friend of my hubby's who is alone...

I'm not really sure...we're hosting, but my MIL always buys the turkey, and we almost always end up cooking it, no matter who's house we're at! We're also having a ham and too many sides. But the leftovers are the best part!

I still haven't been shopping, but I'm going to my aunt's for the actual dinner so I just need one for home use. I think I'm probably just going to get a small turkey breast and we will still have plenty of leftovers, there are only 2 of us here.
I got my 18lb turkey for 11 bucks!! We have ham too and a ton of side dishes-can't wait!!

no idea but my daughter does want to have a dinner at home...not on Thursday, her kids are going to their dad's...so probably we will have our dinner on Saturday

MIne is around 14 pounds. It was on sale for 48 cents/lb. I bought it on Staurday then of course on Sunday there was a coupon for $1 off that brand in the paper! I passed the coupon on to a coworker and told them which store to go to.

I got a great big one cause thats all they had, but I will freeze half of it in seperate bags. Then I'll let my Husband think I cooked all day when I thaw it. Yes he is that smart! =D God love him! =)

We got an 20 pound turkey for our family. My grandpa got it for free at Giant (our local grocery store) because he shops there so much that he earned enough reward points for it.

I got a 19lb. I did not want to do a whole turkey cause I hate the mess but it was so cheap. .37 lb.
