How do I get to my oldest photos?

I used to be able to replace a number in the address bar from the standard 20 (shows 20 pics per page) to 100 or even 500 and then all I'd have to do is click a few times to get my oldest photos.

I just tried that though right now and it doesn't work for me anymore. When I put all my photos (I had a LOT of them!) into albums I just started creating albums and then dragging each one where it needed to go. It took me about 3 days to get it done, but it got done.

Wish there had been an easier way... hope you figure it out!

Thanks Faith. I did it both ways to make sure it worked. I changed the page number to 76 in the url and I went through all 76 pages of pictures to double check.

Hello!

The advice above is sort of correct. By modifying the URL (web address) you can access any page of photos you want, including your earliest work. However, you don't modify the page number (currentPage=2, etc.). This parameter doesn't really do anything as it is used only for display purposes. It does not actually control pagination.

The parameter that IS critical is the &start=20

Karen has 76 pages of photos. There are 20 photos displayed per page. Therefore to see the last 20 photos in her collection you need to change the number 20 in the &start=20 command to identify the last page of photos.

76*20=1520. Karen has approximately 1,520 photos.

To see the last page, you will need to change:

&start=20 to &start=1500

That will display the last page of her gallery.

Brenda's URL/link above is correct.

Note: Once you use the correct URL to access older content, you can successfully use the "next" and "prev" pagination controls to navigate backward or forward through the list. Just ignore the page number it tells you that you're on...as that will be incorrect (again, that is only for display purposes).

ah Kevin thanks for pointing that out i didnt notice there was no page change actully when i tried dans i noticed that the page number changed but not the photos

Sometimes...I will change it to most viewed or most discussed and that will get me closer to the older photos.

I was hopeing that you would do that, that's the only way that people will see them, they won't take time to click all the way to 76, thank you I'll click on them until My fingers get tired. lol

I'm actually thinking it's better if you republish them in the new photo album, will be easier for any moderator too.

Gather should have a page number system. They do, if you access someone elses photos thru a tag link, but not on your own page.
