Let it Snow - Photo Essay

Snow came back again today.  The sky was gray and overcast, but the falling snow looked pretty.


A few stubborn leaves cling to the oak trees.


The lake seems to have frozen again, although it is a process that takes some time.  I wouldn't walk on it yet.


I hope you can see the snowflakes.  They were nice, big ones!

Not quite ready for ice fishing yet, but soon it will be frozen solid.

It's hard to see the snow flakes.  It was beautiful to watch.  I'm sure there will be a lot more to come!

Winter beauty! I see the snow in the lower images. I love the tree to the right of your first image, it stands out so perfectly against the sky!!!!

Beautiful shots Jan, it is very cold here in the twenties, but no snow yet, that I have seen, could be when I'm sleeping though, lol. Actually, I don't think I really like winter anymore, was great as a kid, but now, brrrrrr

I agree, Elsie. I enjoy looking out at it more than going out in it....unless it's deep enough for sledding. Some kids never quite grow up, I guess.

Wonderful photos Jan. We had some snow today, but only a dusting. My daughter said they got 6 inches of the white stuff last night. She lives in the mountains.

I just finished getting the leaves up. No winter here yet, except for the mountain ranges, which are loooooking gooood! Still not photogenic yet, though. I'm going to have to go up to some ski areas this winter. ( If gas remains low enough.)
