So I am wondering what is everyones favorite book? And why?
I am not sure I have a favorite. I am a serial reader. I always have a book I am in the middle of and I feel incomplete like something is missing if I am not in the middle of a book.
(My TWO purchased copies of Mists of Avalon got stolen from covetous lesbians who were always hanging around. I ended up reading a library version to finish it - ha ha.)
Gone with The Wind is my favorite of all time, but I enjoy so many authors its hard to even list them. Janet Evanavich, Sue Grafton, James Patterson, and the list goes on and on!!
OMG we MUST be related .....lol me too but all time fav book To Kill A Mockingbird ...it might have been that I was very impressionable when I read it ( 8th grade) but it certainly stands out as my ALL time fav ....there have been sooooooo many since and before and I loved all but about 3 so I must be a good picker of books ; - )
Yea sounds like we might be related......MOM lol! Victoria is reading To Kill a Mockingbird right now. She says she doesn't like it :( I tried to read it to her. Thinking that might help. Cause even at 15 she likes when I read to her. I will try again. lol
Hmm, hard question. I read constantly, a book in almost every room. But I think my all time fav. is Swans Song by McCammon. Have read it numerous times, even had to buy a new copy as other was so worn out.
I usually have 3 going at any time. Right now it's 4. I read whenever I can.
I received a copy of the first Twilight book, but wouldn't read it until after seeing the movie. Books are so much better than the movies. Now I'm going to wait at least another couple of weeks so that the movie doesn't influence me so much.
I don't really have a favorite but one called "The Mote in God's Eye" that I read in 1987 impacted my thinking the most.
There is so many books that I have read nd enjoyed. i can't pick just one favorite. Right now Iam reading " ON The Run" by: Iris Johnsen so far it is a really good book.
I absolutely love to read. Out of the many, many books I've read over the years my favorite has to be The Stand by Stephen King. It's a clear case of God vs. Satan.
I'm like you, so many favs that I've read and reread over the years. I normally have 3-5 books started at any one time which absolutely horrifies my wife.
The Great Kings War by Green/Carr, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Sherman's Horsemen by Dale Evans, The Peshawar Lancers by SM Stirling, Once An Eagle by Anton Myer, The Prince by Pournelle/Stirling etc etc etc
I have a two children so I don't get to do much reading for myself. When I read to them I enjoy the "If you give a pig a pancake" or "If you give a mouse a cookie" These are both by the same person and they have many more but I can't think of the name right now!!! RAOC
