EU could cause more instability in Balkans with Six-Point Plan

The six-point plan proposed by Ban Ki-moon has flaws, that is agreed upon by most.  However, the argument made by these people that it could destabilize the region is the most damning.  If it goes through, it would mean that multi-national split government style rule would be a norm for the region.  Then the minority of Albanians in Macedonia (or FYROM for you Greeks) may demand a split sovereignty there.  What this region needs now is stability.  The kind of stability that only a crazy Fin could come up with... Like the Ahtisaari plan.  That's right folks, it's out there and it's ready to be implemented.  But, what would the guy who started UNOSEK know about Kosovo?  And it's not like the plan hasn't been approved by most leaders outside of Ban Ki-moon.  But, the EU knows best, this has been proven time and time again.  Especially when it comes to major European powers messing around in the Balkans, historically, they are REALLY good at it.  If the proposal by Kosovo is accepted by the rest of the world and the cause of true Kosovar independence is championed by the UN, maybe we can avoid a conflict.  Perhaps we could establish a precedent in the region that's a GOOD precedent.

The EU Plan will surely bring ruin and instability to the Balkans.  But hey, that's cool, instability in the Balkans has never caused any problems in the grand scheme of things right?
