I wanted to update you all on my college plans. In May 2009 I will receive my Associate in Arts degree in Liberal Arts-Psychology. It is very exciting since I started college in 1986 in NY and quit before I earned my degree.
I returned to college in Jan 2007 part time and I'm almost done. That brought me to my next question.....where did I want to go for my Bachelor's degree and what do I want it in?? Sometimes I think it's so sad that I'm 40 and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. LOL
I attended an Adult's seminar at Penn State University in my town last week. They are offering this new degree for adults returning to school. It's called Organizational Leadership. I've been in management for most of my adult life and the classes offered in this program sounded very interesting to me. They also seem like they are geared toward real life issues.
College is extremely expensive and my daughter will start in September 2009 also. I'm hoping financial aid helps us with all of this. If not I will have to wait until she is finished with college and then I can start again. Wish me luck and I'm getting an early start on the financial aid applications!!
I also wanted to mention I'm a sorority girl(they invited me for academic excellence) and I'm pulling a 3.80 GPA!!!

I've been looking to go back for my master's degree but decided before I should do that, I should get my associates in civil engineering so I have more of an idea of what's going on when I go for my masters in civil engineering and then go for my p.e. license. I only need 34 credits for my associates if they count my previous degrees, etc. but money is tight right now and I don't have enough personal time to take off and take courses as they only offer the classes in the day time. Rearranging my schedule isn't an option anymore at my new job as it once was at my old job. Besides the student loans I have now are mind numbing to look at!
