Okay...I know not everyone likes to give and/or receive pings.  That's okay...you don't have to get any, if you don't want to.  We will keep them all to ourselves!  However, for those of us who thinks pings are a splash of sunshine to our day and a cool breeze of soothing comfort in our nights...I am including a link to my tribute to the ping that I wrote a little while back!  Three cheers to the ping!  Hip, hip, hooray!  Hip, hip, hooray!  Hip, hip, hooray!

They're fun graphics that you can send people, either through your profile or add the, to a comment. You will see them everywhere as you start to read profiles and comments.

I am one who often forgets to ping, and I had to stop allowing pings from people who weren't friends because they just wouldn't leave me alone. When I first joined I though a ping was looking at your profile or leaving a message.

I love pings, I get to check to see who has thought of me for the day. I love to ping people as well to let them know that I am thinking of them as well.

I enjoy sending and receiving pings. Pings are a small gesture to brighten someone's day or evening. I appreciate all the pings I receive and always return them. But I also like to visit the person's profile and check out their posts. I like the graphics too - I can thank my Gather friend, Leona, for teaching me how to work that bit out!
