Relief within, sound of a friendly reminder
Sweeter, better, voice lilt smile, gently on whim
Comfort of friend, here, or ear to ear relation
Since creation, shared priceless moments, gifts of love
Suddenly, a whoop of laughter, wondering why
The air revels in happiness, stars shine above
Soon is late, hesitation to paint over height
Childhood felt like forever, dreams on starry nights
Rooms convey dialogues, within colorful mists
The daily calendar, bookmarks and countless lists
Footprints replay carpet's worn and torn images
Memories, reminders, a silent room today
Message quickly scratched, best wishes stationary
Scribbles on scenic postcard, unusual stamp
Certain sadnesses, empty nest melancholy
Empty spaces, part sad, quiet pretends
Behind closing eyes, dreaming, just around the bend
Pixilated voices, images, touching hands
Life's wonderful mysteries, the kiln fires within
Sundial winks its majesty, shadow colored vim
Yesterday's baggage forded streams, rapid rivers
Along the winding trail, destination in mail
Sky being neighbor, friend knowing trueness of heart
Nothing better than hearing laughter in the park
