This morning, we woke to see a light dusting of snow and the lake is beginning to freeze over for winter!
This happens every November in Michigan and it's interesting to observe. Spring fed lakes send currents in multiple directions, so at any given time, the water will appear to be different in each area.
Once the lake freezes solid, there will be white markings along the spring current lines. It looks similar to the markings on a basketball court. When that happens, I will post new photos. For now, enjoy the process with me.
Soon, our neighbors will be ice fishing, skating and snowmobiling on the lake.
This is only the beginning. Farmers' Almanac has predicted a cold winter with lots of snow! Brrrrrrr.

Jan stay warm!
I drive around the southern end of one of our "city lakes" on my way to work. End of last week, the early sun shone off of a thin layer of clear ice that held the water suspended, like the moment between breathing out and breathing in. Somehow makes the rest of the day a little quieter.
