I really don't know what is meant by generic comment anyway.

I don't have a problem with "generic comments." At least I know someone's viewed my stuff, and besides, I sometimes do it if my hands are hurting too. I have tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. :(

I dont mind generic comments, I feel that if you were kind enough to view my content and leave any comment is nice! you comment my stuff anytime you want!

Doesn't bother me at all. I have problems myself and the worst is trying to do that darn rating box at times.

I do not mind generic comments. I prefer them over nothing, as least I then know my stuffed is being viewed without paying attention to the page views.

You know I don't have a problem with it. Anytime people start bickering about generic comments in posts I try and tell them that they don't know everyone's situation and that there are people here with RA and other medical issues who do it because of the difficult time typing. Guess now some will figure out who I am talking about. =)

I don't mind.. I was told it was against the rules though..I see plenty doing it who don't have a good reason..

Cheryl, you shouldn't worry about what other people think. I have absolutely no reason to be upset with any "generic" comment, especially from you! I am completely aware of your situation and I am thankful that you can at least take some time and do something you enjoy. Don't let some fussy people bring you down. Continue to do what you have been doing and everything will be OK! :-)

I have no problem with it. I am always pushed for time.

I have no problem with generic comments. I have carpel tunnel in my one wrist. So, I understand the pain when it comes to typing. With this cold front it, I can feel the pain even worse. As any aches through out my body I feel.

I understand your reasoning, unfortunately there are just so many people who do it out of laziness and greed that it leaves a bad taste... I appreciate your comments and effort though, thanks for sharing this with us!

I don't mind, I am happy to get the gift of a comment......sometimes it does bother me if someone leaves a huge, winking graphic for a comment, though! It makes it difficult for me and others to read the page around it.

As well as others, of course. I'm amazed at the number of groups centered around people's interests and needs.

That is certainly understandable with your condition doing so. I don't have a problem with it myself.

I do not mind one bit because I do understand and I'm sorry you have such a difficult time. Comforting hugs to you!

I have absolutely no problem at all if someone uses generic comments or copy/paste on my pics! I do it myself (moreso now with working nearly full time and taking care of my family...5 kids!)... if I only owe a couple comments then I'll go ahead and write something (like I am now for you).... buy if I owe someone 100 comments and they want my comments, views and ratings then I hope they wouldn't mind my generic comment. I still looked at their pictures and I still have a lot more people to get back to. So in my mind I think it would be unfair to take up all the free time I have to leave an original comment on each and every picture. I know some people would like it if I did but I just don't have the time to do that. I still enjoy the pictures. The way I look at it also, is that there are only so many original comments you can make on any one picture. Say it's a picture of a pretty flower and you already have 15 comments on it. Chances are you are going to have 5 people saying "pretty," five people saying "lovely" and five more saying "beautiful." You have the occasional comment on top of that like "I love roses" or "That is my favorite color" or something like that. LOL

So to summarize.... naw I don't mind a bit! It's the time you take to view and rate that means the most to me. That is what people should be appreciating.

I think it is just fine. I don't have a lot of time to spend so most of what I give is generic. I like looking at pics and reading post but if I spend most of my time writing long comments I don't get to look at as much.
