Greens are a recent addition to our Thanksgiving dinner menu and one that we just can't get enough of.
Last year my dad ate greens and hot sauce for his breakfast the morning after Thanksgiving.
1 large bag mixed greens
2 smoked turkey legs, pork chops or hocks
2 T hot sauce plus extra for serving
1 T apple cider vinegar plus extra for serving
Soul seasoning to taste
Add greens and remaining ingredients to a large pot. Add water to cover. Over high heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer greens several hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove meat and shred, discarding fat, gristle and bones.
Serve greens and a few chunks of pork with additional hot sauce or vinegar as desired.
