Crap, I really need to start wrapping gifts!

This sucks! I have been intending to pull the Christmas gift tubs out of the bedroom and begin wrapping for days now, and today is yet another day I won't be able to do it. -sigh-


Ah well, it's not like Christmas is next week. I can deal with it.

Wrapping already?!

I haven't even started pulling together the paper and bows I want to use. I always say I am going to get it done early, but there I am at five in the morning on Christmas Eve trying to get it done and under the tree before the girls crawl into the living room.

That is my plan for the day. I find wrapping the gifts early is the best way to hide them.

I am really going to try to do a bit of wrapping at a time. Last year I did ALL of my wrapping one evening and it just about killed my back, knees etc. NEVER again.

If I wait, I never get around to it. When I start, I do have to make a list of what was bought & wrapped, so I remember later ;) I'm almost done with my shopping. I love to wrap, but I hate being shut into the bedroom to do it. That's why I was hoping to get it started this week- so I can do it in the living room. Next week, the kids only have school on Monday & Tuesday (just when did Thanksgiving become a 5 day break??).

My kids have off 10 days for Thanksgiving but they only get off 2 days for spring break. I hate it. We can never take a trip in the spring because of it and I don't like to travel around Thanksgiving.

I started wrapping presents yesterday while Elliott was taking a nap. I didn't get too far, though. It will take me a long time wrap them, even though I mostly just wrap for Elliott. The thing is, I have a big family, and they all send their gifts unwrapped, and leave that to me. Or they send cash and want us to buy toys, which of course I still have to wrap. My little sister requested that each book and dvd she sent him be wrapped individually, which is not a problem, BUT she sent him 22 books!!!
I know, I know I have plenty of time. I just like getting it done before things start to stack up too far. Right now, I have 3 tubs full of stuff that needs to be wrapped. ;)

I'll likely wind up locked in the bedroom this weekend to do it ;)

LOL....Sounds like me! I love doing things early, but sometimes, it doesn't happen that way. I have already started some of the kiddo's gift bags and will add things here or there. ;)

im gonna try to start wrapping on dec 2nd . mine our out of school from the 24 till the first.

We don't wrap until the night before we do our Christmas here at our house. We go to my parents' house for the real Christmas (by real, I mean the 25th) and we do our own Christmas here at our place sometime before that.

Well, I gave my hubby the $200 tool set I bought him today...gave it to him today, no wrap, no nothing.......I order a $30 computer repair magazine for our 21 yr. old son, and told him about it...no wrapping, no nothing........geesh, at the rate I'm going, there won't be much to worry about to have to wrap.....LOL!!!! Oh yeah, I've got three best online buddies that I'm shopping for and already have most of that done already.......am in great shape. I cheat usually and buy special Christmas boxes....all ya have to do is put the gift in the box, tape it and put a tag on it...all done!
