To summarize, scientists at the University of East Anglia built two detailed climate models. One model compared natural events of the past century. That model failed to explain the observed polar warming trends. They then built a model that incorporated human "forcings" of fossil fuel burning, etc. That model did a better job.

To summarize, Barack Obama promised to deal with climate change and reduce carbon emissions despite the economic crisis. He will not attend the climate talks set for Poland in December, as he is pursuing a "One President at a time" policy, but he is sending a note there promising that US policies will change soon. He still feels that a cap and trade system may have merit fo reducing carbon emissions from the USA.

What is wrong with Obama? Can't the man understand that our short term comforts are far more important than our grandkid's futures?

Look, just because they proved that climate change cannot be explained by volcanoes, sunspots, or a wobbling magnetic field does not mean that WE caused it. There is an obvious third possibility.
