My Husband Lost the Chance to Become a TV Star (Twice)

A few days ago, my husband passed a camera crew on the base. My husband thinks it was the NCIS TV show filming a new episode on his base. They needed someone to perform the "check-in" process at the gate, and were looking for military personnel. My husband could have volunteered, I guess, but he just walked away.

And there was a separate occasion when a different camera crew came to his office and asked for six military personnel to go to the Naval Museum and read a document for the film. My husband's boss actually "told" him to go, but he was guarding a secret computer at the time, and could not leave his post.

I was a little bummed. You never know. Maybe he could have become the next biggest TV star if someone spotted him from the film or something. Hey, one can dream. :)

I thought about being an extra sometimes. We have Stu Segall Productions only a few miles from me and they hire a whole lot of extras of all different types. All I need is a good head shot and I can apply. Then, if they need me to stand in the background or something, they will call me. I hear it pays pretty well.

Are there anything like that where you live?

It's fun being on t.v. Both my hubby and I have several times.Mainly with the news stations and I was in a commercial when I was younger.

You've obviously got a saint there and he doesn't want to become corrupted. You see how the lines are being blurred between reality and TV now? That's definitely for a reason. It's all about divorcing people from reality and responsibility. If he really wants to do it he will, but I would be happy you have someone that dedicated!
