List It Christmas Gift Ideas

Every year my husband and I set aside a certain amount of money to buy Christmas presents for each other.  The problem is my husband is a typical guy who will never tell you exactly what he wants.  He's never able to think of anything.  He's also NOT a typical guy in the sense of liking sports and what-not, so anything like that is out.  So I always have the greatest difficulty getting him affordable, enjoyable, practical (and not so practical gifts.)  I'm sure there are others out there with similar difficulties.  So for me and others, let's list good present ideas for those hard to shop for people in our lives.  Maybe I (or someone else) will get a good idea.

My husband is the same way! It is very difficult to get him a gift that he really likes. This year I am thinking about getting him an Ipod. He has been wanting one for awhile. Any suggestions?

I just get clothes, if all else fails. Or some razors and shaving cream in a bag with other essential bathroom items. It's a gift that everyone can use!

I have FOUR men in my immediate family to shop for, argh! Last year I got my three sons plushy bathrobes--same robe in three different colors. I'm going to find some flannel pj pants for them all this year as they don't wear pj tops. I saw a cool thing at the store yesterday--a desktop organizer for electronic tools being charged (cell-phone, ipod etc.).

My husband is the same way. But this year for his birthday he got a playstation 3 with a blue ray disc in it. So he will probably ask for games or movies this year.

If he spends a bit of time driving, you could try books on cd or classic radio shows on cd.

Also, the NPR store has a nice selection of puzzles and games.

Find out what his interests are or just get a Visa gift card, he can use it anywhere on anything anytime he likes. :-) Well, he might have only a year to spend it in actually, but I doubt it will take him more than a year to figure out what he would want to buy with it. Wrap it in a bunch of boxes beginning with a large one, than smaller and smaller and keep him guessing. This is as much fun for you as it is for him. :-)
