We have a water mystery house.
I woke up Sunday morning and heard water running.
I could hear it in my bedroom, from the bathroom and out in the hall.
At first I just thought that Z (my 12 year old son) was up and taking an early shower.
I walked down the hallway and saw that he was still in bed.
Well, I figured he’d been up and washed dishes BUT I could still hear the water running!
I walked out to the kitchen and the faucet was running full force and the sink was half full of water.
I didn’t turn it on.
It was off when I went to bed the night before.
My husband says he hadn’t gotten up and turned it on.
Z says he hadn’t even gotten out of bed yet when I walked out of my room.
So everyone says they didn't do it.
(I wonder how long it had been on and how much higher our water bill is going to be because of this?)
BUT the big question is:
Who turned on the water?
Is Z walking in his sleep and dreaming about doing dishes? (Not that far fetched, he is doing dishes for a Ranger merit requirement) But I’ve never known him to sleep walk up to this point.
B I will trust that he wouldn’t waste water like that, he’d be thinking about the cost and the utility bill and I know he doesn’t sleep walk.

The only other possibility is….TIGGER!
He does jump up in the sink when he is thirsty and we aren’t around or he thinks we aren’t looking.
The thing is the sink was full of dishes (waiting for Z to do them) and he wouldn’t have fit in the sink. The distance between the spigot and the handle that turns on the water (They aren’t separate on different parts of the sink but just one big thing) is about 2 inches.
I can’t imagine any other way that he could have done it except to stick his whole head in there between the spigot and the handle.
So, did Tigger do it or do we have a sleep walker or a burgler who turned the water on and left and locked the doors behind him(ala the wet bandits in the movie Home Alone)?
My vote is it was Tigger.
I just can’t imagine how he did it but he is our nutty cat who opens doors and cabinets with ease.

But how could this sweet Tigger hugging China as they snuggle in this picture have done this??? Look at how Tigger is hugging China as they snuggle together, AWW!
What do you think??

Probably the same brand as the ones that set fire to my kitchen table 5 years ago while I was out of town!
