Got Gas?

I don't, but I really need to get some. I have to drive a couple of hours up into Maine tomorrow. The gas here in the seacoast area of New Hampshire has actually dipped below $2 a gallon. Okay...so it hasn't dipped much; it's technically $1.99.9 but that still sounds pretty good to me.

Needless to say by tomorrow AM I'll have gas. How about you? What does it cost where you are? Do you think it will keep going down, or is this simply a big tease?

It's just tricking people to fire up their SUVs again...wait a year and it'll be back up above $4. That is if we have recovery from the "recession" by then. We have an annoying gas station with $1.93. Causes traffic problems. Otherwise, I think the local average is still over $2...but Oregon is always high.

We seem to be staying above the $2 mark. It was $2.65 the other day. Portland which is 2 hours away is hitting around $2.22 and some suburbs are like yours, under $2. I think because we're a coastal tourists town, they keep gouging us!

We too are at $1.99 a gallon. I think that it may go down another .5 or .6 cents but not much more than that before it starts going way back up again.

I don't have a vehicle, but I have a feeling I'll have gas in the morning, too...especially after having beer, tuna and eggs tonight!

I agree with you Ellie! We are usually higher here in Oregon, and just today on the ch.12 news I heard that OPEC is going to reduce the # of barrels of oil production...so there get ready for another gas hike....

My hubby said he saw it for $1.58!!! Last I put gas in my car the previous week it was $1.89, and that made me pretty happy! (but that's about all regarding the economy that's good right now, and not for the right reasons, either). What a mess...

It's around $2.25-2.40 here, but I don't expect it to stay that way. I was happy to hear Barack Obama on "60 Minutes" tonight say that Americans should not forget about alternative energies just because the price of gas has gone down. We have been there before and we need to embrace alternatives.

It varies here depending on the station. It's anywhere from 2.03 to 2.20

I saw $1.98 yesterday in Mass.
We're at $1.899, now. I'm not sure if it's a tease or not. Before the election, I thought it might be a Republican ploy and would go up after 11/4, no matter who won. Now, I'm not so sure.

I'm actually hoping that the demand is down as many Americans have begun walking, biking and scootering to closer destinations. SUVs on the road aren't as common as they used to be, and small cars are becoming prolific.

One can only hope...

There sure were a lot of articles about gas on Gather today. Frankly, I wasn't expecting this article to be about the kind of gas one puts in their car.

I don't know what it is here right now. I only fill up about once every three weeks and pay whatever it is that day.

Thursday I paid $1.55 in St. Louis and it's $1.75 on the IL side.
