Danielle, that Artist's Fungus is one of my favorites. So is the last one, of the naked White Wood Asters.
Lynn, Ballard Park is in the south end of Newport, at the corner of Wickham and Hazard Rds. It's centered on an old quarry that dates back to colonial times. It's mostly wooded (predominantly Oak), lots of rock outcroppings, and a network of trails. It's a great place to hang out.
