Guarded Viewing, On or Off?

I just noticed that I have Guarded Viewing: On, I'm not sure why but I do. I have a feeling this would be more fun with it off, am I right?

For a while, the site was being inundated with pornographic (sexually graphic) nude images. At that time, I set my page to only view non-nude flagged items. Of course, part of that problem was that the person (people, actually) responsible, weren't flagging those images.

If you have your guarded viewing on that means that you won't be able to see any posts or comments that people have flagged for language and stuff. Now I know why you probably don't see most of MY stuff!! Sometimes I get carried away and say bad things so almost everything I write is flagged!

LOL, I thought that it was just from swearing and I am guily of that on a daily basis but my kids were here the other day when I stumbled on that yucky picture, I had some pretty awkward questions coming at me from my 10 year old. wasnt pretty LOL

You really won't see much of a difference. While there is some content labeled as 'adult' on Gather, it will likely be much tamer than you expect.

I leave mine off, so I have no idea what you can't see without it turned on. I just close anything that offends me.

I have always had mine off, but I don't think most of the stuff I see is very riskee. You do see some nude photos pass by and a dirty joke with foul language now and then, but not much.

I have mine set to on - awhile back I had it at off and was offended by some of the stuff, and have just had it on since - but if things aren't as bad as they were before, maybe I'll turn it off for a trial period...
