First Edition - Print- $14; download - $4
Printed: 214 pages, 6" x 9", perfect binding, cream interior paper (60# weight), black and white interior ink, white exterior paper (100# weight), full-color exterior ink ISBN: 978-1-4357-2397-9
Cover - Created based on one of Lulu.com's stock covers. It worked, but it wasn't especially original.
This is the original version, slight updates were made to the 2nd edition. Page differences to other editions are due to differences in font size and page size -- the novel is just under 70,000 words in any edition. It's available from Lulu (print or download) or Amazon (print) -- I've also seen it listed in a couple obscure places in the UK and Japan. I'll be retiring this version as soon as the 2nd edition hits Amazon, probably about 2 months from now.
Second Edition Preview -The full text of the book availabl to download Free- for a limited time. Go to www.gretchenleebourquin.com and click on the No Sensible People link. I will pull this about the same time I retire the first edition.
Second Edition- "publisher's grade" - The publisher's grade option has made it possible to put together a book at a lower cost. Unfortunately, Lulu does not offer ISBN assignment on publisher's grade book. The paper is slightly thinner, but still pretty good. The paper is white instad of cream, so it's a bit bright, but that's the only real drawback. The book is a bit smaller 5.5 X8.5 -- and has an original cover designed by my son. These are available from Lulu.com only, for $8.95 plus shipping-- although I hope to one day gather a bit of an inventory to sell from my website. I don't know when or if that will actually happen at this point, but if I can swing it I'd be able to send people signed copies and ship them a little cheaper than Lulu.
Printed: 209 pages, 5.5" x 8.5", perfect binding, white interior paper (50# weight), black and white interior ink, white exterior paper (100# weight), full-color exterior ink. Download Price is set at $2.00 on Lulu. It's pretty much the same as what's available on my website.
Second Edition "premium grade" - When Lulu told me they wouldn't put an ISBN on my "bargain" book I had my son create a 6x9 version of the cover so I could do the Amazon edition. I've just ordered my proof for this. You can view through this link, I'll update when I see for myself that the book looks nice. It takes 6-8 weeks after my approval for it to hit Amazon. I might order wider distriibution eventually, I haven't decided yet. Price will be $14. First edition will be retired at that time, as will the free download, but it's priced at $2 on Lulu -- which is still a pretty good deal. I've also ordered library cataloging for this edition, so it will eventually be at the Library of Congress, and local libraries will be able to order it.
Printed: 189 pages, 6" x 9", perfect binding, cream interior paper (60# weight), black and white interior ink, white exterior paper (100# weight), full-color exterior ink.
ISBN: 978-0-557-02318

I guess I'll probably go with the publisher's grade. I wanted to see what that paper looked like, anyway. So as soon as I get my check this week, you'll have a couple of sales!
A.F., I want to get a copy of your novella with my blurb on it too, just for my own satisfaction, even though I've already read the book.:) I might can get that for my brothers-in-law, in fact.
And, I quoted both you, Gretchen, and you, A.F., in my press release for T'ain't Nobody's Business, so ping me if for some reason you'd rather not be quoted:)
Have a lovely day!
